Goalie Fight!

During a second period scuffle, the Ice Bears Andrew Gallant left his goal crease and skated to center ice to square off with Twin City keeper Terry Dunbar.

Gallant said, "as soon as Siggy jumped the guy, I looked down and he said yeah, I said alright, let's do it. I skated down the middle, put on a show. ah, it was fun."

But not to worry, Gallant says he wasn't hurt in the scuffle. "It takes a lot out of you …I think he got me with one shot maybe here."

No punches were pulled though, but no hard feelings either. "It's a thing about respect - we're both goalies, once it's over it's over. Give a little pat on the head, say good job, that's it."
Both netminders got game misconducts and were ejected for leaving the crease to join an altercation. Knoxville's Kirk Irving went the rest of the way, keeping twin city scoreless.

Following the game, Ice Bears athletic trainer Bill Murray presented both goaltenders with Half of a game puck for shutting out the cyclones!
