Former NHLer and US Olympic silver medalist Jeremy Roenick made a lot of stops in his 20 year hockey career, but this week was his first time in Knoxville.
The Boston native is working as the host of a television pilot for a potential series to air on the Versus network.
The show features coaches at amateur and professional levels in a number of sports - the focus in Knoxville is UT coach Bruce Pearl, and the vols basketball team.
"Awesome, first time in Knoxville." Roenick said Tuesday night. "It won't be my last. I've been accepted really well, Bruce and I have a really good relationship built in a day-and-a-half that really excited me and these guys on the team are pretty special. They're really good guys and I jelled with them really quick and going in the locker room and giving them high fives - I've been here for 24 hours, it's been a great, great trip for me here so far."
We'll have more with JR in future Hockey Loedown programs.
